Can you capture years of research in just five minutes? That’s the challenge facing five researchers as they take the stage in Katuaq for the competition Paasisavut 2026.
Paasisavut is Arctic Hub’s science communication competition for PhD candidates and recent PhD graduates whose work focuses on Greenland. Through a series of engaging, concise presentations, participants will compete to make their research accessible, meaningful, and inspiring to a broad audience while maintaining scientific integrity.
The live event will take place at Katuaq in Nuuk on 13 November 2026 at 7:30 PM and will be broadcast nationwide on KNR TV with simultaneous interpretation in Greenlandic and Danish.
Audiences can expect an evening of compelling stories, fresh perspectives, and fascinating insights into Greenland. From pressing challenges to emerging opportunities, the researchers will share discoveries that help us better understand the country and its future.
More than a competition, Paasisavut is a celebration of curiosity, knowledge, and the power of communication. It brings research beyond academia and into the public.
Admission is free. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and can be reserved through www.paasisavut.gl from October 2026.
