Paasisavut – Greenland’s major science communication competition

Arctic Hub hosts a science communication competition every two years for PhD students conducting research in and around Greenland. Known as Paasisavut, this event is a unique opportunity to share your research with the entire Greenlandic population.

The winner is the participant who, in just five minutes, can present their research in a simple, engaging, and relevant way—without compromising scientific integrity. The best communicator receives a grand prize of 50,000 DKK.

The competition takes place during a spectacular live show in Nuuk and is broadcast live on KNR TV, allowing all of Greenland to join in the experience.

The next Paasisavut will take place in 2026.
