About the position
At Arctic Hub, you will be an important support in the daily operations and have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the secretariat. Your main tasks will involve event planning, social media communication, and practical ad hoc tasks.
The expected weekly working hours are 16 hours. Your schedule will be determined together based on your semester, and we will naturally take your exam periods into account. Some events may take place outside “normal working hours” (after 4 PM) and there may be deadlines to meet. This could, for example, be in connection with Paasisavut and Greenland Science Week.
The work will be carried out from our office in Nuuk (Kivioq 5).
We imagine that you:
are a student at a higher education institution
are independent, structured, and detail-oriented
have strong communication skills, both oral and written, preferably in Greenlandic, English, and Danish
find event planning and social media work exciting
are a team player and motivated to work in a busy and dynamic team
have an interest in Greenlandic research and science communication
Your tasks will include:
assisting with Arctic Hub’s social media channels
publishing articles on the Arctic Hub website
assisting with planning and organizing events
minor administrative tasks
other ad hoc tasks for the office
About Arctic Hub
Arctic Hub is a central and unique hub for Arctic research, with a particular focus on Greenland. Greenland and Denmark have jointly established the secretariat in Nuuk, and the hub has many ambitious goals. Salary and employment conditions
You will be employed as a student assistant, where the regulations on salary and employment conditions for students in higher education employed under the Greenlandic Self-Government or the Greenlandic municipalities as volunteers or student assistants apply. Payment is hourly according to the current salary scale 18, 19, 20, and 21 in the Greenlandic civil service system.
