Are you passionate about strategic communication and do you have experience with press work and social media? Then you might be the person we’re looking for.
Arctic Hub is a focal point for Arctic research and is locally rooted in Nuuk. One of our core tasks is to build bridges between research and society, and communication plays a central role in this.
Communication and press management
As the communications consultant at Arctic Hub, you will be the driving force behind the secretariat’s dissemination tasks, communication platforms, and press management.
You will be responsible for maintaining our website and social media channels. You will also be in charge of press management, which includes writing and pitching stories targeted at relevant audiences, media and other platforms. Additionally, you must be able to prepare the head of the secretariat and the board for interactions with the press, and handling incoming inquiries from national and international press and media.
Dissemination and coordination
The communications consultant is also responsible for idea development and coordination of our article and video productions. This means you will generate ideas, write articles, and coordinate and act as a link between our associated freelancers (writers, photographers, translators, graphic designers, etc.).
You will also be responsible for communication tasks during the planning and coordination of our ongoing dissemination events, such as workshops, after-work sessions, and our science communication competition Paasisavut.
