Arctic Hub in 2025 – the year in review

Arctic Hub’s 2025 annual report is now available, offering insight into a year that helped make research more accessible and relevant across Greenland.

The annual report highlights a year defined by community and new ways of sharing knowledge.

This was especially evident during Greenland Science Week, where Arctic Hub served as the main organizer for the first time. The event brought together researchers, decision-makers, and local communities in Nuuk, Ilulissat, Sisimiut, Sarfannguit, and Kangerlussuaq.

New formats and new faces

In 2025, Arctic Hub also introduced a brand-new format: the Qaagitsi research festival, where researchers and the public connected through shared curiosity.

Held at Katuaq, the festival marked the conclusion of Greenland Science Week and attracted more than 1,000 attendees. Arctic Hub is proud of the overwhelmingly positive response.

“2025 has clearly demonstrated Arctic Hub’s strength as a unifying platform for research in and about Greenland,” says Mininnguaq Kleist, Chair of Arctic Hub’s Board, in the annual report.

The report also outlines organizational changes throughout the year, including several new members in both the secretariat and the board, such as a new chair and a new head of the secretariat.

The annual report is available in Greenlandic, Danish, and English. It provides an overview of the year, the organization’s key achievements, and its plans for 2026.
