Arctic Hub research dissemination workshop

Are you researching Arctic and Greenlandic conditions? Would you like to create visibility for your research in the wider Greenlandic population?

Then this workshop is for you. We help you with hands-on tools you can use to communicate your research outside of the major journals but, in turn, target those who can put your research into use.

At the workshop, we will cover:

– The particular conditions that apply when you want to communicate research in Greenland

– Know your target group and how to reach them

– How to find the core of what you want to tell

– Tips and tricks on how to make your language more lively

– Different media and platforms you can use when you want to communicate your research in Greenland (locally and internationally) – and how you pitch them

The day will be a mix of presentations, exercises, and time to work on your ideas, and of course, both food and drink will be served. After the course, the goal is for a number of your ideas to become a themed series on Videnskab.dk & Arctic Hub that will be published in Danish, Greenlandic, and English.

Instructors:

Anders Høeg Lammers is the researchers’ editor at Videnskab.dk, where he helps researchers communicate their research. He has taught popular science communication at all Danish universities.

Nicoline Larsen is the communications manager at Arctic Hub, a unifying unit for research in Greenland located in Nuuk. Nicoline writes and edits popular science articles and videos about research aimed at the Greenlandic population.
