Arctic Hub Culture Night: Win a pearl collar and dive into our videos about research in Greenland

Location: Saturday 21 January 2023
Time: 15.00 – 19.00
Place: Pinngortitaleriffik

Is your home radioactive? Why does a scientist use a sleeping bag? And how has the fashion in Greenlandic beaded collars evolved over time?

Find the answers and learn much more at the Arctic Hub at Kulturnat Greenland. We’ll be showing short and exciting videos about research in Greenland.

At Arctic Hub you can
Book tickets to Greenland’s first PhD competition Paasisavut, which will be broadcast live on KNR on 1 March, and see an interactive overview of research in Greenland in 2023.

Win a Greenlandic pearl collar!

At our booth, you can learn how to sew a beaded tie with us, and enter into a draw to win a set of nuilarmiut – one for an adult and one for a 6-year-old.

The day will end by the drawing of two winners. The draw will take place at 18:55.

The competition is inspired by Arctic Hub’s article on Rosannguaq Rossen, who has been researching the West Greenlandic female costume. Watch the video here.
